Timetable – Summer term 2017 (show term)

Here is the timetable for this year’s show term. Those parents who have been involved with a previous show will know that for show term the timetable moves around a little and then reverts to its normal format in September.

You will notice that a few of the classes have been combined. This will give us much more scope when choreographing our dances for the show.

We have tried to keep the children dancing on their usual dance day as much as possible but in certain cases a change has been unavoidable but we hope that the change in days / times where applicable are convenient.

The students who have just taken exams are in the next grade up (ie: last term’s Primary tap class are described below as Grade 1 Tap).

There are students who are preparing to take exams in the early part of next term, these students will have a curriculum class AS well as a show class until their exam. There will be a letter coming home very shortly about this.

There will be full details about the show coming home soon, and a form that you must sign to allow your child to take part. Please fill in the form promptly.

Please please do not panic! Further details will come out soon about the show, exams etc. If you are confused about when your child’s classes are, your invoice which is due in the next couple of days will hopefully answer your questions.

Please be patient with us, this timetable has taken many hours of preparation, this will be a great term with exciting things ahead.

No classes on Friday 24th March

Once again there will be a jumble sale at the Scout Hut on Saturday 25th March and therefore they will need to use the hall on Friday 24th to prepare.

Therefore there will be NO classes on Friday 24th March – the make-up classes will take place on Fri 31st March instead, the classes will remain at their usual times.

My sincere apologies for any inconvenience this may cause you but I hope you will all understand. The Scouts hold fundraising jumble sales twice a year and it was a condition when we hired the Scout Hut on a Friday that we would not require it on those dates.
Thank you for your support and understanding as always.

FANCY DRESS WEEK (and Easter Egg Raffle)

We apologise for the late notice, we hoped to get a notice out last week but other circumstances got in the way.

This week we are having a Non-Uniform/Fancy Dress week at Redhurst where we invite all children to bring in £1 and in return, they can wear either their own clothes or be outrageous and wear fancy dress for classes!

Please make sure they can move comfortably and safely in their clothes.

We will also be having an Easter Raffle! For a chance to win one of three delicious Easter Eggs you can buy a ticket for 50p, three prizes means three chances.

ALL money raised from these two incentives will go straight into our SHOW FUND!

As you know, next term is show term and to put on a show costs thousands of pounds for the theatre, lighting, costumes etc, only some of which is covered by the show fee and ticket sales which we want to keep affordable.

Due to popular demand, and contrary to our original announcement we would like to put on THREE shows, (evening Tuesday 25th plus Matinee/Evening Wednesday 26th July) but to do so we need to raise a considerable sum. Every little helps, so please support us.

To summarise

Non-Uniform week (tomorrow Mon 13 to Sat 18 March) £1

Raffle tickets 50p (of course you can buy more than one if you wish 😀
